Research Financial Analyst
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct study coverage and cost analysis using LCVR’s internal processes. Review and assess study protocols, sponsor agreements, informed consent forms and other related documents to develop and negotiate study budgets.
Develop detailed final budgets by identifying all activities, tests and procedures to be performed during the conduct of the study based on the protocol, study schedule of activities, and other study documents.
Negotiate with sponsors to reach agreements appropriate to the costs of the trial.
Maintain a “library” of information on approved study budgets, specific invoicing instructions, and other pertinent study budgetary information for the organization.
Create visit “items” in QuickBooks. Setup new studies in ClinCard. Create study coordinator monthly tracking sheets.
Generate and send (when necessary) invoices to study sponsors.
Track and monitor receivables from sponsors, including pass-through fees and milestone payments.
Contact sponsors regarding past due accounts.
Reconciles payments received to QuickBooks online and other internal financial tracking systems.
Prepare monthly reconciliations for both the LCVR Bank of America bank account as well as the LCVR credit card account.
Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure recorded revenue and expenses are accurate as they relate to specific accounts within the financial system.
Demonstrates responsibility for personal development by participating in continuing education offerings.
Performs other related duties incidental to work described herein.
Qualifications and Hiring Criteria:
Authorization to work in the US to apply for this job and are subject to a background/suitability investigation
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field with 3 years of relevant experience in clinical research; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, ClinCard, and/or other clinical trial management system is desired
Knowledge of MS Office Products (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access and Outlook) is required
Good understanding of proper bookkeeping procedures
