Grants & Contracts Specialist
$54,080 - $64,480 per year
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepares and negotiates study and vendor contracts as well as internal MOUs.
Work directly with Specialty Team Advising Research (STAR) attorney to execute CDAs and CRADAs
Works directly with sponsors, VA attorneys, and other related parties to resolve research contract issues.
Works with PIs to prepare budgets and other required documents for federal award submissions (i.e., NIH, DOD, etc.)
Maintain the contract tracking database.
Ensures quality, objectivity, and risk analysis in the efficient delivery of fully executed agreements.
Identifies and assesses legal, financial, and operational risks and raises them to the PI, the Executive Director, and/or the Finance Director.
Oversees ethics and regulatory bodies’ submissions and approval status. Ensures documentation is on file for all required approvals, amendments, and continuing reviews.
Demonstrates a customer-focused style of communication, problem solving, and collaboration.
Performs successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.
Liaises and establishes effective relationships with sponsors, study teams, and other stakeholders
Conducts process improvement through evaluation of workflows, development of documentation, and communication with key stakeholders.
Demonstrates responsibility for personal development by participating in continuing education offerings.
Performs other related duties incidental to work described herein.
Supervision:
Must be able to work independently.
